SITE-SPECIFIC INSTALLATION
2019
UniArt Gallery, New Bulgarian University, Sofia
The first exhibition of the SAPROMAT collective. Curator: Rosena Ivanova.
With Unapparent, in the spring of 2019, the SAPROMAT collective began. The exhibition turns on site-specific art and on treating the viewer as a participant in the exhibition space — one who experiences its dimensions and the intervention made within it. The installation consists of five hollow columns echoing the gallery’s own architectural givens. Several of these sculptural forms carry a motorised lid that lets light through in a steady rhythm.
In 2020 Unapparent took part in the exhibition The Invisible. Visualisations Beyond Memory, Imagination and Simulated Reality at Rayko Aleksiev Gallery (curators: Stanislav Pamukchiev and Peter Tsanev).
