The NDK underpass, Sofia
After the novel of the same name by Georges Perec. A project of Konklav Association.
The installation starts from an episode in the novel — the story of a worm-eaten table leg whose invisible tunnels, revealed and petrified, become the exact trace of a blind existence (Perec 2015, p. 155). The installation keeps no opening hours — it lives in the rhythm of the underpass and is there at any hour of the day or night.
