Our thoughts and memories are scattered across countless devices and platforms. Our digital traces can be followed through social networks, security cameras and endless collections of data. Our senses and our memory keep improving thanks to relentless technological progress. But what happens to the human mind once it has been dismembered, scattered and reassembled? That question is the occasion for the meeting of the collectives Sapromat and Kosmotehnika.
The performance has an open structure — no beginning and no end. Visitors are free to enter and leave the hall at their own will and pace, at any time between 5 and 10 pm.
Premiere: 12 and 13 July 2023. Final performances: 24 and 25 January 2024.

Beyond Vladimir Poleganov’s novel, the performance also draws on a public discussion with the literary theorists Kameliya Spasova and Nikolay Genov and the jurist and philosopher Stoyan Stavru. Part of that discussion was published as a volume gathering material from the collaboration between Sapromat and Kosmotehnika.
The project is co-produced with Toplocentrala Regional Centre for Contemporary Arts and supported by the Sofia Municipality Culture programme and The Gwärtler Foundation.
